The Palestinian filmmaker and actor Mohammad Bakri visited the Jenin refugee camp after the massacre that took place there in April 2002. He wanted to hear what the relatives had to say while they were cleaning up and still searching the ruins for more victims. What kind of future awaits a country where its citizens - from the oldest to the very youngest - have had such close contact with extreme violence?

As testimony to the Palestinians' collective memory, this film is essential, and of course forbidden to be shown in Israel. It is dedicated to the producer Iyad Samudi, who was shot by Israeli soldiers in June 2002, right after JENIN, JENIN had finished production.
